Back to School

Yesterday was our first day of classes. I laid my clothes out the night before and woke up early to do stretches on my balcony, had a healthy breakfast and went to class. (Mama G, I know how proud you'd be). My first class was Arabic and it was INCREDIBLE. It's a really difficult language, but I'm so determined to work hard and do well. We were all walking around saying all the phrases to each other, like hello and thank you, whenever we could. After I had Hebrew. I'm in level 3/4 Hebrew and it's nice to be in a classroom again. It's been too long since I'd studied grammar and been forced to only speak Hebrew that I really hope and anticipate that I'll be fluent by the end of the year. I also really like both teachers. We then have a long lunch break, from 12-3 and Naomi, Gaby and I have been doing some aerobic exercises on our floor, so every lunch we do our crunches. In the afternoon we had a Middle eastern studies lecture for 3 hours so it was a lot for the first day, but we learned about Lebanon and it was really interesting.

Last night after dinner we had house meetings and of course ours with Ortal was hilarious. After I hung out with Adin and Danny for a while then went to sleep.

Today my morning classes were good and it makes me so excited to learn. I'm so happy about the classes were taking.

I'm off to this musuem for the intoduction of our Civilizations course and because Ehud Olmert is coming to our building for some tekes and they want us gone. I posted pictures from my first week in Jerusalem so far. Check it out.
